Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial & Cost Analyst to support a finance organization during a large-scale ERP system implementation, while maintaining ongoing operations in a legacy accounting environment. This role plays a critical part in inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting throughout a multi-year system transition, with strong potential to convert to a permanent position.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (approximately 90 days)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
  • Work Location: 100% onsite
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, equivalent to $85K-$95K annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including inventory and overhead journal entries
  • Perform inventory reconciliations, transaction reviews, and reserve analyses
  • Maintain and analyze product costing models, standard costs, and variance reporting
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to analyze cost drivers and improve processes
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency during parallel operation of two ERP systems
  • Support regulatory compliance, audits, and inventory-related reporting requirements
  • Develop financial and operational reports and provide analytical insights to leadership
  • Act as a finance subject matter expert during ERP design, testing, data validation, and system cutover

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7-10+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
  • Strong background in inventory and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
  • ERP experience required (modern ERP systems strongly preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups; macros a plus)
  • Experience working in dual-system or implementation environments
  • Ability to manage detailed accounting work in a fast-paced, project-driven setting

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing or regulated industry environment
  • Prior ERP implementation or finance transformation projects
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with operations and IT teams
